Day 123: The Atlantic
August 15th, 2011
A quick day-trip to the west coast of Ireland for a walk to the water’s edge (or as close as I could get to it with the stony beach and causeway). In true Irish fashion, it rained all day. A perfect anti-climactic end to my goal of getting from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean by land.

Marching to the Atlantic ocean on day 123!
Congratulations on achieving one of your goals.
Was Ireland cold?
No, it wasn’t really cold – average 20 degrees C. But it was quite wet. 5 minutes rain shower, 5 minutes not – very erratic. It was beautiful though.
lovely pictures there Sandy…..yeah, sure it always rains in Ireland, that’s why we enjoy 40 shades of green.
Glad you enjoyed the Guinneas anyway, that’s very imprtant!
