Day 111: A summer day in Copenhagen

August 3rd, 2011

Last night, I was told by some locals that you know it is summer in Copenhagen when people go through all the letters of the alphabet just to get from A to B. You’ll want to spend all your time outdoors and make the most of the sun and the beautiful weather because in the winter it is a different story. My day in Copenhagen involved a lot of lounging around, eating open-faced sandwiches (Danish specialty), and walking the streets and channels.

The colorful open sandwiches look yummy!
I’m looking forward to seeing more pictures and knowing about Copenhagen.

I like that you’ve added comments! Also, that opera house is stunning!

I didn’t comment the Oslo opera house but that was a stunning structure as well. It was made only in the last few years, from white limestone imported from Italy. The building of it was somewhat of a scandal but it is an impressive structure. Yeah! More pictures!
Wow! There are many arches and brick buildings in the town.
Thank you for attaching an explanation to some of the pictures.
The new Copenhagen is very modern, isn’t it?
